Are all Functional Medicine Providers the same?

No, they are not. Not all of them are doctors, so if you aren't sure, then ask them. Further, as there is not yet a national board for functional medicine, qualifications vary. A person who has taken a weekend seminar or one who has completed a full course of years of study can both call themselves a Functional Medicine practitioner. So be sure to ask.

One way to tell what their level of qualifications is is to see if they are registered with the Institute of Functional Medicine. Use this link to look up practitioners near you and learn more about their qualifications. We hope this will help you find the help you and your family need. Click here to find out more.
